WarmFörm Insulated Frost Protected Slab System

WarmFörm Slab Forms are remain-in-place insulated concrete formwork used to create slab-on-grade foundations in Frost Protected Shallow Foundation applications. WarmFörm is based on decades of testing and tens of thousands of installed examples in Northern Europe where it is used to eliminate digging, provide an energy efficient and practical formwork system that obviates the need for site finishing the exposed stem wall face, and improves the tolerance of the finished slab. It is especially suited for radiant heat slab applications. Continue reading

GFP Insulation from Fi-Foil

Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, researchers at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory developed GFP thermal insulation technology. Fi-Foil licensed this GFP technology and now holds the exclusive licensing rights for use in residential and commercial insulation applications. The GFP technology consists of multiple, honeycombed layers of thin, low-e metalized aluminum that are baffled with polymer chambers enveloped by a sealed barrier and filled with either air or a low-conductivity gas.
