The curvaceous lines and romantic designs of this collection from New Ravenna were inspired by a spirit of adventure and love of nature. According to Sara Baldwin, Founder and Creative Director, her travels to the desert have challenged her perceptions of light and rhythm through the vast uninterrupted horizons and acres of undulating sand. These romantic designs were created as a result through a melding of color and texture that is both contemplative and sensual. The company’s products are handcrafted mosaics, made in Virginia, that are fashioned into decorative borders, murals, fields and medallions. The tile is cut and can be tumbled, honed, or treated to create distinctive styles, subtle shade variations, and textures. Two of the new handcrafted mosaics pictured are Seine in Kaye’s Green & Montevideo marble and Oasis in polished Calacatta Tia & honed Thassos marble and are made to measure, insuring a perfect fit for interior and exterior installations.
