Vela is a new interior glass door design from Rimadesio with a double-directional swing. The single sheet of thick float glass has a lacquered surface with a thin aluminum surround that disappears into the walls. It is a perfectly two-sided door with completely invisible pivots that are located on the bottom and top of the door. There are two versions one with a patented magnetic closing system and the other with a magnetic lock. Both versions take full advantage of a basic physical principle, doing away with the need for mechanisms and always guaranteeing light, silent movement. The patented die-cast aluminum handle is characterized by its lacquered glass insert in the same color as the door. The glass is tempered or laminated and is available in several colors and exclusive locks and handles are integral parts of the design. Rimadesio is always involved in the complete design process with a view to introducing ever new functional innovations that provide superior performance.
